Maria Sue Chapman

Today we didn't have choir, so we were in the library hanging out. I got a magazine to look at and while I was flipping though I came across a really sad story. The story was about how Maria Sue Chapman (who was Steven Curtis Chapman's adopted daughter) ran to the car when her brother pulled into the driveway, but she was not seen and got hit. http://www.people.com/people/archive/article/0,,20221775,00.html You can go to this website to read more (it is the artical that I read).

This reminded me of how easily and quickly one of our loved ones can be taken from us.

(This is a song that he had wrote for her before her death, with pictures. I couldn't figure out how to get blogger to just let me post it.)

Yeah, that is sad. And the really sad thing is how they think they'll see her in Heaven, but the truth is that they don't have anything. It makes me think of what Bro. Dean said on Wednesday (in Church). He was talking about how a couple of mormon women, probably 20 or so, had come to his door and were telling him about some program he had. He stopped them right there and said that they didn't have anything at all, and that it wasn't up to them to be teaching him about Christ, either. Anyway, that is really sad, but I hope they get through their grief, and maybe somehow the light will shine out, and one or even more of them will be able to come to God. Anyway, I will try to remember to pray for them... even if they are in the world, they still need watched over, too. I would hate to have something like that happen to one of my siblings. I sure hope that I would remember the Scripture in Job where it says "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." I'm not sure if that's the proper punctuation, but I'm too lazy to give up my seat so that I can find a Bible and check... even though we keep our Bible's right across the room from where I'm sitting. Sigh. I know, I know, I need to be not so lazy. I'm going into the kitchen in a few minutes to load the dishwasher... that's so exhilarating, maybe it will rejuvenate me! LOL. Anyway, as to what you said back to me on your last post about riding UP a hill... oh, man, I really feel for you, now!

I hope I get to see you soon.

Oops! I said that the mormon women were telling him about a program he had, and I meant a program they had.

Yeah, that's always the sadest part about deaths like this in the world. I don't know what I would do if this happened to anyone in my family or even if they were taken away, but not in the same way (but still in death), I would want to remember that the Lord knows all and has a bigger plan with each little thing that he does.

Yeah. I guess that having that happen would be the true test of Faith. I don't get why Satan, after he'd killed Job's children, felt that Job would hold less to God if he caused Job himself to ail. I would much rather myself be in pain and hurt, than one of my loved ones. But then, Satan doesn't understand that love we have, because he doesn't have it. And there are people out there who are also like that, it is easier for them to bear if something happens to their family than if something happens to them. But still, you can see that Job loved his children very much, making all of those sacrifices for them and everything.
